ISA Bahrain

It was a very long serious drive. I tried to get them to laugh
From The city to the dessert

Traveling across Bahrain it is hot humid dessert. It is some of the driest areas I've seen but in the middle of nothingness is the tree of life.

People from all walks of life come out here to see it.

Its amazing and beautiful. Some jackass carved his name in the branch.. I hope he dies.

This is the second time to the tree of life
I cant believe some one carved their name
It was so hot they moved the show indoors. Thank God!!

The Show was great- what nice peeps
I didn't get a photo with her because she was running around so much helping everyone but Tiffany Cunin was so amazing with helping us out and making sure we were taken care of (another Warren Ohio Birthed person..and the same age).
She had to run before the show was over but I wanted to throw her a shout out for being so amazing. Her energy was so upbeat if you listened carefully she hummed.
Last time I was here there was a fire chief who knew my father from Youngstown- and we called him at work. ISA must be my base.
Carlton from Fresh Prince.. He actually runs the show and was an amazing guy

Qatar and Bahrain: Travel Day and show

Leaving Qatar (pronounced cutter) I was getting sad- Our MWR guys were amazing. Again when ever you hang with soldiers I get it... Its a brotherhood- these guys care for each other, go though allot together. Its very touching when they allow us into their lives.

72 Virgin Mega Store
The citizens of Qatar are very humble and peaceful, except when driving.. then they are crazy. Grant drove like a pro! taking us to the airport. It was hard leaving our crew. Shawn, Mario and Grant we hope you get home safe!

And Now Bahrain: Middle of the tour!

All Arabian Gulf countries wear the same traditional clothing, but it is different in styles and shapes from country to country>>>
Anyway for Bahrains:
*Men: “Thawb” or “Thobe” (which means a garment)is an ankle-length garment, usually with long sleeves, similar to a robe for the body and “kandura” to cover the head.. Also in special Occasions they wearing also “besht” (which means a robe), It is usually worn in ceremonial occasions or by presidents; a “besht” ,”بشت” can be worn in a wedding, Eid, and funerals. It refers to a status of wealth and royalty, or sometimes a religious position.

My Room: They Hook us up!
A real bed!
There wasn't lodging on base so we got the hook up! As much as I love military living I would be a liar if i said i wasn't excited to walk in this room.

In my closet.. Guidians are everywhere!

My View

For Women: which is more complicated. A very conservative woman might wear a long black garment called “Abayah” that covers the body from the heads down to feet. Under this cover she could be wearing a traditional Arabian dress, “thawb”, or she could be wearing the latest style designer clothes or bikini.. kidding.
I seen enough 3 stooges shows to know don't look under the robe!

At The Mall
In addition to the Abayah, a very conservative woman would wear a face and head cover. Some women would wear the Abayah without the head and face cover, while others might wear a scarf-like cover called “Hejab” to cover the hair only and not the face.

only to go-its ramadan

STRYKER

STRYKER!

Rolling Gangster

If a Bradlee and a Humvee had a child and they raised it to kick peoples asses- It would Have been Named STRYKER!

The Stryker MGS moved into low-rate initial production in 2005 for evaluation. General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada assembles the Stryker for the U.S. Army in a plant in London, Ontario.

[edit]The US Army plans to improve its fleet of Stryker vehicles with the introduction of improved semi-active suspension, modifications reshaping the hull into a shallow V-shaped structure, to protect against improvised explosive devices. Because of the wear and tear of battle, over 1000 Stryker vehicles have been rebuilt by Anniston Army Depot and returned to operations and that's exactly what these fellas do!

They take scrap off the vehicles and put them with new parts

They take damaged Vehicles from battle and make them
better then they where when they went out of the factory. These guys take serious pride in thier jobs.

Its a very green way to reduce reuse and recycle! A Green Army!

this just in
Cut like a puzzle to fit

For Generation Video Game!

They know soldiers are supersticious and if they know they where in a war damaged vehicle their minds may not be in the right place.

Don't Let Carole get to the gun!!

Aiming Right for the nuts!

National Mom takes no BS!

By August 2012, the Army's Stryker fleet included over 4,187 vehicles, with 10 flat-bottom variants and 7 in double V-hull designs. In Afghanistan, it retains a 96 percent readiness rate. To upgrade the existing fleet, the Army has implemented an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) program with the goals of providing a stronger engine, improved suspension, more on-board electrical power, and next-generation networking and computing technology.

Time for a test run..

Now Don't let Carole Drive.. Unless she is going shopping
