Seville Spain: the rabbit or barber is from here day 5

Seville, Spain.
We had an afternoon show, Which you never know how those will go. I was a bit nervous and sick from all that food... All that food, I still have nightmares of the never-ending stomach of Raphael.
We picked up a couple bottles of wine and sherry in the afternoon for later that night.
We did the first show, and because it went so well, we told everyone we would do a late-night "dirty" show. Well, we must have made an impression because the place was packed for the late show.
Am I right?

Expensive wino

Of course, in between shows, Ralpheal took us out to eat at an old castle. It was gorgeous, and as always, the food and wine never stopped. The wine cellar went on forever- it was insane. I am quickly falling in love with wine. I never appreciated it before

Seville Spain Day 4.

Day 4 on the trip, and I already know I am so excited and sad to keep going. I am going to miss Lisbon and Portugal altogether.
The trip is already so much fun. When we loaded onto the plane- It was tiny. We started joking that this was the flight "The day the laughter died"
Kevin "buddy holly" Downey, Craig "The Big Bopper" Gass and Don "Labumba" Jamieson.

When we flew over- Lisbon has 2 soccer stadiums on the opposite sides of town. It reminded me of NY Mets and Yankees.

Seville, Spain...

Great Art filled this place.
We got in and unpacked. Our guide Raphael, was such a great guy. He wanted to take us out to eat to this little spot outside of Seville  (Side note- sherry is made just outside Seville. He showed us such a great time. We nicked named Raphael "Papi Chullo." He was so much fun talking to me. He told amazing stories about growing up in Spain under Franco's rule.
The wine and stories flowed.

History lesson:
A lifelong military figure in Spain, Francisco Franco rose through the ranks until the early 1930s, when he found himself, a right-wing monarchist, amid a left-wing republic. He was essentially demoted, but by 1935 he had been named chief of staff of the Spanish Army, a position he used to purge the army hierarchy of left-wing figures and strengthened military institutions. When the social and economic structure of Spain, in the governing hands of the left, began to crumble,

Franco joined the growing rebel movement. He soon led an uprising against the sitting administration and took control of Spain after the Spanish Civil War (1939). From then until his 1975 death, he presided over a military dictatorship.

Raphael told us another great story- his uncle who was trying to talk him out of marriage said- If you are the matador and you are tossed into the air by a bull, he will then leave you alone, but a cow will come over to you and piss on you. He had us rolling!!

They take foosball seriously here.

I woke up in the AM and went for a long walk. It was so amazing being there. I was so full of food I could barely take a walk.

Going Going back back to lisbon lisbon Day 3

On the Flight, We started Laughing and being gassy and busting each other's chops. We played a game on calling people we see the Portuguese version of someone famous. Portuguese Danny Devito, Portuguese Tom Arnald, and I guess we hit a sore spot with this guy. We started laughing even harder when he turned, and I got the photo. We started making up Movie plots and Movie titles about him. My favorite was He is Portuguese Ben Stiller playing a bad guy in a horrible 80's action movie called "Tough Crowd."

Lisbon, Portugal...
We flew back and finally hit Dukes and the famous STONE STEAK. I was so excited to try this. They basically heat the stone up so hot you cook your steak right there at the table and eat it as you go.
Our gig was 2 doors down from Dukes.

What a high bar!

With the owner of Dukes

With our excellent Hosts who showed us such a fantastic time

This is our new reality show pose!

The show was in this really awesome hip bar in the area of town where a lot of young people hang. Before the show, I wandered around and really loved Lisbon. Our greenroom was a glass-enclosed area in the middle of the restaurant  I was joking it was like a human zoo. Come see comedians in their natural habitat... A greenroom!
After the show, we stumbled out to eat with a couple soldiers and their wives. It was a great all you can eat place.

Azores Island Day 2.

Azores Island, Portugal
We are off to Azores  Islands, and then we come back to Lisbon tomorrow. This is a 1-night trip and show. When we return, we do a show for Lisbon.

I adjusted very quickly to the time change and felt back on track. We were very excited to get to do the show as well.
Goodbye, Lisbon.. we will be back.

If your not sure where these islands have Pulled a map. This is a huge vacation destination for Portugal. The scuba, food, and wine is fantastic! They all say there are 2 cows to every person. I said that sounds a lot like college in the states.

All of the Touristy things are of cartoon cows.. shirts, posters, mugs, and so on..

They have a running of the bulls here, but with those odds (2 to 1), I don't think I am in.

The population is somewhere around 56000 people.

Our landing was very rough. It was windy, and we had to do a touch down then take off. That was a bit scary.

I couldn't get a great shot of the countryside, so I pulled this one off the net

Our guide Bill was hysterical, he had us rolling telling us old wrestling stories and the legend of the 1 eyed hog woller.

Everyone is so lovely here, and as always, Armed Forces Entertainment makes sure we are fed well. I still pretend I am going to come on a tour and exercise and eat a little, and I always end up eating like a hog. I do go to the gyms on base but always cut the workout short because I want to see stuff.

I got up early and just wondered around. It was so beautiful here. It was very overcast and windy, I would love to come back in the summer and see this place when the sun is out, and it is bright out.

Even the bases chapel was amazing and old. The woodwork and attention to detail were amazing. I would really love to see this place again soon.

from wiki:
Porto Judeu, which means "Jewish Port" in Portuguese, is a parish in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo on the island of Terceira in the Azores. The population in 2001 was 2425, its population density was 80.11/km², and the land area is 30.27 km².

Before the show, we went to a seafood restaurant and after a high-end Italian place. The food was unbelievable. I later found out they don't clean the seafood as well as we do, and I was feeling sick and then found out why.

We did a show for all ages, which made us all a bit nervous. Comics never want to hear all ages.. they panic.. "do I play toward the kids, and the adults think I stink" or "play to the adults and the kids don't get it?" Unless you have the ability of Jim Gaffigan or Brian Regan, you get very nervous. We are The Shock and Awe Tour as well. Some very edgy guys on this thing. We pulled it off and felt great after the meet and greet.
