Werewolves Aco 3/227 AVN

This is our Black Hawk Crew: Werewolves

The Helicopters always flies in two. Kelly, the man in charge upfront, is a Steelers fan. (oh course so is the Colonel, Kruiser and I). This is his custom SIXburgh Helmut.

The Gunmen
These are both sets of Gunners. These guys are badass! The second pic is the guys in my chopper. And the man standing in the second pic had the monster mask (below).

The wolf mask is incredible, imagine looking up a black hawk and a 50cal pointing at you, and this is the face behind it.

It is very rare to get to go up to a chopper with the blades not swinging. Thank god for these guys who were at the show.
We are getting loaded in. These are the guys who flew us to and from The Korean Village, so they got to stay for our show. A great way to become friends with pilots is to do a show for them where you reference them as much as possible, get photos with them, and then on the flight back, get a hold of your headphones and crack as many jokes as possible without pissing them off. They told me their favorite people they flew around were Willie Nelson and Chuck Norris. I was laughing out loud, Pilot Carlos Montes had us laughing with jokes, and everyone started joining in, fat jokes, mom jokes and ripping on each other. They were so open and relaxed, we even got the Colonel in on it.

Above is the guy I blamed for ripping it! This was the best flight ever.
I am a werewolf now, they gave me a patch, and now I feel like I’m one of the gang. What sealed the deal is while in the flight, I let one go, and the two-army guys by me looked around to see who did it. (They don’t have headphones) so I tell the crew over the headset, and they turned and looked and lost it.

This will be A day I’ll never forget, and I’ll probably have my patch framed and am proud to be an honorary werewolf. Here are the crew we flew with, Mr. Kelly and Mr. Chattaway gunners: SPC Boles and SSG Bart. With us, it was CPT Van Kleeck, and gunners were SSG Watson and SPC Harris.

Day 5 Falcon(former Raiders) and Nasir Wa Salam

So I want to start this with Letting you know The Armed Forces Entertainment was launched in 1951, this is a tradition of entertainment or our warriors class only next to the USO, which started 10 years earlier.

We went to load into the black hawks. We went to the landing area, and the air traffic controllers wanted to know if we wanted to check out the tower? My dad works ATC, so we decided to go up, great view and carol fell on the steps and bruised her knees (explain that one to Todd-her husband- “performing for the troops hey..” wink, wink!!) On the bright side she may get a purple heart, injured in a combat zone.

Excuse me, what’s that? Durka Durka. Nintendo Wi? What?

That’s right, ICEMAN I’m Dangerous.

Arrive at Camp Falcon: It was a former Raider Camp. Lt. Colonel of the base had a meet and greet and gave us coins to have us remember Falcon. He was excellent, he reminded me of Don Rickles on Steroids. He told us we were the first show they had in a year. People kept canceling on them. Their rights outside Baghdad allot of civilians work there, and their population is around 2000.

The show was on an outdoor basketball court next to a softball field in the middle of the base, and it was terrific, they filled a bunch of bleachers and set out a green room up as a bomb shelter with green sandbags. The show was amazing, maybe 400 peeps showed up. This is our Greenroom right Next to The Stage.

Ok, so I’m like the chubby Bob Hope.

After the show I got a lovely surprise. A friend from high school who also lives about 2miles from my parents came over to me and said hi! It was unbelievable- he changed so much, grew a foot or two, and grew into a man. Mike Creed was a neighbor, fellow football player, offensive lineman, I graduated with his sister, and we met up outside Baghdad. How small is this world?

Riccadonnas Angels. PS anyone notices Carol is way too excited every time she touches a gun!! This is Felicia Micheals, Carol Montgomery, and Leighan Lord.

We went to the mess hall, a little known thing. Christmas 2004, the dining hall had a backpack bomber, so that’s why there are no bags “in the mess.” Also, You have to check your weapon every time you enter a building (by check, I mean, you point a gun towards the sand and clear the chamber).

Now we are off to JJS Nasir Wa Salam, and in the black hawk, I got to sit in the gunner’s seat. This is a fantastic view. We saw some smoking building and checked it out. A pilot told me when they get hit by gunfire, it sounds like popcorn.

As soon as we landed at Camp, we could see men and only men ran this. It’s a shared camp where they train Iraqi soldiers. Lieutenant Kay was a big man who came across as scary but ended up being as lovely as can be. These guys had a giant Motor pool and allot of Mechanics. There were no women on base.

As Kruiser put it: This is just Mark Being Mark. I was so excited to see tanks, this wasn’t a tank but a Striker with a turret.
The show was in the Cafeteria, It was by far the dirtiest show we did this week, they where loving dirty Jokes. When The Show was over, we went to Lt. Kays office and talked about family life, how comics and soldiers have a similar experience with wives and kids, and the road. This was a great night, and everyone was so tired. We have a crazy day tomorrow, so when we got home, we all went to bed on the early side.

I’m in bed, right at the out of it, and about to fall deep into sleep when something wakes me up. I come to, and almost in slow motion, I see the door to Steven, Colonel, and I Bunker open. Two figures walk in, one has a mag light, one has a red light, and they flash it at the colonel and at Steven, I don’t know what’s going on, so I slowly spring up (if that makes sense to you) and the guy says don’t worry we are here for the meeting tomorrow, we were supposed to get in early today. I almost crapped my pants. The election is coming up, and there is all kind of action going on. We also may be closing some base’s so all the big wigs are getting together.

DAY 4 Tarminya and Taji

The day started, and we forgot our orders and passport on our jog, so we didn’t get to go to the gym.

We were up early and ready to go, hit the DFAC, and were boarding the black hawks. While waiting for the Hawks, we saw the M wraps up close. They rock!

STORMTROOPERS

The choppers were late, but once we strapped in, it was incredible!! They are much like a roller coaster but smooth as can be! Carol and I like the Black Hawks WAY too much!

When we fly, all I think about is “All Along The Watch Tower” by Jimmy Hendricks.

Base: JSS Tarmiya
We took Black Hawks into work today; I’ve taken elevators, stairs, limos, bike, sports cars, cabs, subways once a snowmobile, but never a Black Hawk. This was huge, they ride smooth and are excellent handling wise.
Passing over Baghdad, it looked like a giant meth lab, The houses are either crap or a vast mansion, not too much in-between. There is an absolute power you feel when flying like that. Getting strapped in was excellent, you feel unbelievably safe.

The JSS Tarmiya felt like a grade school playground with awesome graffiti (even the skull with the porno stash.

They just got hit a couple days ago, so they were really excited. It started as a slow audience, but when one group got off patrol, they filled the outside. Their spirits were high, considering someone threw a grenade into a striker and injured 2 of our guys.

BRING CALVERY!

The show was just unbelievable, they were so much fun! Ditto one of the soldiers from the early show wants to do comedy I told him DO IT!! We got a tour of the Strikers! We took a photo with the Striker Force and their VERY German Sheppard DAX. These things are like tanks but with wheels.

I was so impressed Sergeant Harris gave us an indebt tour he showed us how everything works with the guns and armor and how important it was for us to come for morale.

The base was small, and they said they had exactly as many people as they need- no more no less. They are a small group of Warriors, and they earned my respect and the respect of our country.

Fly Base to Base by Black Hawk- the only way to travel.

Cornel Ed Shock. The man, the myth, my bunkmate!
Base 2 JSS Taji:

This was a big base- it is kind of where most of the black hawks are. Upon arrival, we met in a war room with Garrison Command Major Sly Bolton and all his BAMA boys! The Calvary was so nice, the food was excellent.

There were 400 peeps in attendance, and they wanted a show, and they got a show. Everyone was amazing. After the show, we did our meet and great but had to hustle out to catch our chopper.

plaques
4 days in, and I got 2! I love the Military!

The glowing things are not Storm Troopers From Star Wars- they are US Storm Troopers in IRAQ. Carol Tearing it up, 400 plus soldiers watched us tonight!

I look like Captain Caveman! I need a shave!

We got back, and now everyone is here in the computer room, typing away.

DAY 3 Touring this Joint

These are Russian tanks. The turret isn’t fastened down, so when they were blown up, the tops popped off! They are located right outside Sadam Palace (Victory over IRAN)

.The domed building is “The Perfume Palace,” which is where Sadam kept his slave prostitutes. Underage slave Prostitutes.

SADAM’S PALACE (Victory over IRAN)
You can’t believe the damage that has been done here.
The building is impressive “looking” They said he liked to make it look expensive, but the walls were stuffed with paper! I got to have a little (unofficial tour) I’m not sure if I was allowed to go in, but it was awesome.

The Flintstone village was built for Sadam’s grandkids… Ahh isn’t that a sweet grandpa, well he made them because he felt bad about killing his son in law AKA there dad

.

The rooms are gigantic here! They had artists come in and outline everything and paid cheaper guys to come in and paint by number.

There are only four murals left of Sadam, that’s me giving him the bird!

At night we did a show. It was awesome 300 plus soldiers. Everyone stuck around, and we got to talk to the soldiers for a few hours. We were then interviewed for Armed Forces Entertainment and a couple newspapers.
The people started to come in. By showtime, it was packed, standing room only. BELOW The peeps at the meet and greet.
